Public
Meeting Calendar (updated 7/23/08)
We will list public Information Sessions on the Health Care Reform Law
from various organizations. We strongly suggest that you take notes
at these sessions (bring a note book and pen with you and your business
cards- you may meet some people who you want to take down their contact
information and share your information with).
The
Artists Foundation will be co-hosting a series of
Artists Town Meetings Across the State in 2008. They are free and
open to the public. One of the key topics that will be covered is the
health care reform law and what artists need to know to navigate it.
Also
the Connector Authority is planning to hold informational sessions across
the State in 2008 and you will be able to enroll on site for the subsidized
health plans (MassHealth/Commonwealth Care) and Commonwealth Choice
Plans. If you plan to enroll at these sessions-see our how
to define your income and how
to prepare sections.
"Individuals
and businesses will have one-on-one access to the experts in
order to get a better understanding of their responsibilities under
the law. Uninsured individuals are able to enroll on-site, and can start
building relationships with local health centers and hospitals."
- The Connector
We
will post information when it becomes available from the Connector.

How
You Can Help-
We
need your help: ALL MASSACHUSETTS ARTISTS WORKING IN ALL DISCIPLINES
NEED TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED! The
Artists Foundation has collaborated to create on-line tool, Stand Up
and Be Counted, to better determine how many artists of all disciplines
are living and working in Massachusetts. Your answers will also help
us and others to better advocate for our population. Go to the
OnLine Questionnaire. Help us make the invisible- VISIBLE! Help
us spread the word on this on-line tool!
